PayFast intergration is build using the South Africa Payfast payment gateway. It uses a quick and simple payment wallet to sign-up and manage purchases. PayFast is the go-to ecommerce & online payment gateway in South Africa. It accepts credit cards including Visa and Master Card. PayFast’s lets you pay via its own regular internet banking without having to wait 2 days for funds to clear.

Setting Up PayFast
PayFast requires user to register for an account with them. Sign up and follow the registration steps provided and fill in all required information. Once the registration was completed, you'll need to wait for PayFast team to verify your account.
Merchant ID & Merchant Key
Your Merchant ID and Merchant Key can be found on your PayFast dashboard. Log into your PayFast account on the home page you will immediately see them.
Passphrase
The passphrase is a phrase that the merchant selects which is used to make their security signature (sent when a payment is made) more secure. The passphrase is an optional/extra security feature made up of a maximum of 32 characters.

PayFast Configuration
The General options for PayFast are fairly the same among all payment methods. You'll need to give a suitable title, determine whether to be published or unpublished and the appropriate description for this payment method. You may set this payment method to be applied on all plans or only on selected plans. The Parameters section are the specific options needed when configuring PayFast integration. Details of each options are described below.
Sandbox : Sandbox is a testing environment simulates a behavior of a payment method. This option is used in development phase. Always set to No when in the production.
Is your server behind a Proxy Server : If your server is behind a Proxy server then set it to Yes else set to No(It will not validate domains).
Merchant ID : The Merchant Id as given by the PayFast system.
Merchant Key : The Merchant Key as given by the PayFast system.
Passphrase : The Passphrase created in your payfast merchant account.
