Enabling comments on your site might allow spammers to rampaging your site. Thankfully over the years, we have learn several ways to combat spams in Komento. In this documentation, we'll share some valuable tips to counter spam comments in Komento. Navigate to Komento > Settings > Antispam > General to checkout these feature.
Enforcing Minimum Length
Getting litany of responses like very nice, excellent, beautiful, eww, erm, what, ?, ... and etc are super helpful(sarcasm), however judging the fact that how valuable comments are to the site, it must contain at least 10 characters or more to express their encouragement.
Enforcing Maximum Length
There are times where comments posted on the site are very long. An article long is not good for your comment section. It will creates a hurdle to jump from one comment to the other. A lot of websites only allows commenting up to a certain length. It enforces the idea that comments are typically intended to be short. However, there are also some loquacious people. So, it is depends on how you like your comments to be displayed.
Enabling Flood Control
It is good to prevent users from posting comments continously. It is a great antispam measure that prevent comment's section flooded by spammers. It encourages users to find the edit button rather than reposting the same comment again.
Enabling Word Censoring
One notable feature Komento has to offer is the ability to censoring unkind or inappropriate word. It is customizable by admin to set which words are offensive and inappropriate. Empowering each individual to feels safe without criticism or harassment, therefore allowing community to remained positive and kind to each other.
