Remote Mailbox Publishing
EasyBlog allows authors to compose new blogpost via emails. They will need to send an email containing their new blogpost to the email address specified in the setting. EasyBlog system will automatically pick up these emails and convert them into new blogposts.
Important
You'll need to setting up cronjobs to automate the remote mailbox publishing. It will be using the default EasyBlog cronjobs command and rest assure if you have already configured it, you should NOT duplicate it.
You can refer to Cronjobs configuration for additional information on how to add cronjobs commands on your server.
CPanel
In a case where you haven't configured it yet, you can use the following command for remote mailbox publishing.
The following is the CPanel command example.
/bin/wget -O /dev/null "http://yoursite.com/index.php?option=com_easyblog&task=cron"
Server Settings
The remote mailbox publishing settings are located at EasyBlog > Settings > Mailbox Posting > General > Server Settings. You've to fill up all the required Server Setting information as shown in the screenshot below and the following example is using GMail for mail server.
Mailbox Publishing
In order for EasyBlog system to pickup your new blog's emails, you'll need to configure the mailbox publishing. Fill up all the required information and click Save to store the settings.
After the information has been stored, you can test the connection between your server and the mail server by click on Run button.
If the connection is successful, you'll be receiving a success message as screenshot below.

This options allows you to configure and format the behaviour of items that are fetched from your mailbox.
