One of the feature available in the new built-in composer is Post Templates. The flexibility of this composer includes allowing you to create and customize your own post template for your editor to start writing their articles.
You may create a unique post template for a different kind of articles. For example a different post template for news, articles, blogs, announcements, and many more. However it also does not restrict you to create a duplication post template for the same purpose. Lets not allow technology deprive our creativity.
Creating Post Templates
Creating a new post template is now simplified and it is very straight forward. Navigate to Backend > EasyBlog > Posts > Templates. Click on New button to start creating your post template.
Once you clicked on the New button, you'll then be navigated to composer. However, this composer is a little bit different from the composer you use to write article.
Now, lets start designing your post template. This pointed button is named 'Insert Block' and is used to display the list of the available blocks that you can use for your post template.
After you have completed designing your post template, it should looks something like this. If you have satisfied with the post template, let's finalize it by clicking 'Save Template' button and you will see the popup of 'Save as Post Template'. Do not forget to give a title for your post template.
If you want your post template to be used by everyone, you have to tick 'Save this as a global template that can be used by everyone'.
If you do not want your users to edit this template during composing, you can tick 'Lock structure when authors are using this template' to lock it.
Now, you have successfully created your own post template. Your created post template will not be tagged as core. You may edit your post template by clicking on Edit Layout.
Below screenshot is an example after you created a new post template.
Every post template has it's own thumbnail. You may upload your post template thumbnail by clicking the post template title. Browse your post template thumbnail and click Save button to upload it.
You'll see your newly created post template when you start writing in your composer.
Deleting Post Templates
In an event where you wish to delete the post template, you may do it so by selecting the desired post template and click Delete button.
