Overriding Email Templates
EasyBlog allows you to create custom email template overrides in your Joomla template. This is ideal when you want to customize the email theme files but do not want the updates to overrides your custom changes. With the new build-in theme architecture on EasyBlog 5, all email templates are now stored in the same folder.

Please make sure that you have backup all your customization and it must be up-to-date with the latest EasyBlog before updating to the latest version.
Default Email Templates
All of the email templates located in the folder mentioned above contains the generic email wrapper. The main template for all email can be found at /components/com_easyblog/themes/wireframe/emails/html/template.php. If you need to perform a heavy customization on the email template structure, you should override this file.
Creating an override for the default email template is relatively easy and straight forward. Navigate to EasyBlog > Mail Activities > E-mail Templates options at EasyBlog backend. You should see the following list of email templates you're currently having.
Make sure you're editing the correct email template for the override. The default email template is indicated in the above screenshot.
Email Templates
There are several email templates available in EasyBlog. Customizing the email templates should be done through EasyBlog > Mail Activities > E-mail Templates option at EasyBlog backend.
Overriding Email Templates
To start overriding email template, click on the selected email template link. After clicking it, you'll be redirected to Editing Email Template section.
A Email Editor will be rendered on the right after you have selected the file. Now, you may start applying your customization here.
File Information section on the left is displaying the necessary information about the edited file.
Once you have completed applying your customization, click on Save button to store and create your template override file. After a successful saving, a notice will be displayed as shown below. Modified email template is indicated at the modified column.
Reverting Customization
Reverting the customization can be done without hassle. Locate the modified file, and select it. Make sure you're reverting the correct modified file as this process is irreversible. Once ready, click on Reset To Default button.
