In this section, you'll be able to configure the behavior of the Event in EasySocial. Navigate to EasySocial > Settings > Events section to check out this.
- Enable Events
Determine whether the events feature should be enabled on the site. - Enable iCal Export
Determines if the export to iCal button should show in events. - Allow Attendees To Invite
This option determines if event members would be allowed to invite others to attend events - Allow Inviting Non Friends
Determine whether users can invite nonfriends to the event. - Calendar Start of Week
Specify which day marks the starting day of the week. - Explicitly Display Site Admin’s Story Posting
If enabled, story posting from site admins will appear on the cluster page. - Enable Reminders
When this option is activated, users will be reminded when their event is approaching 3 days in advance. This option requires cronjob to be active - Display Social Buttons On Private & Invite Only
This option determines if the social buttons should appear on private and invite only - Default Radius For Nearby Events
Determine the default radius (in miles) for the nearby events - Allow Tagging Non Friends
Determines whether non-friends can be tagged under comments in public events - Automatically Unfeatured Past Events
Determine whether featured events will be automatically unfeatured after they surpass the event date. Requires cron job to function properly. - Moderate Edited Events
If the event is submitted for moderation during creation, this option determines if they need to be moderated again if the event is being edited
Recurring Events Configuration
In this section, you will be able to configure the behavior of recurring events.
- Append Original Date To Recurring Events Title
When this option is enabled, EasySocial will automatically append the original event date to every recurring event's title to prevent search engines from treating these recurring events as duplicate pages on your site. Note that this setting will disable all recurring event titles from being edited - Recurring Limit
Set the maximum number of the event allowed for recurring. Avoid putting large numbers here to prevent a huge server load.
Event Layout Configuration
In this section, you will be able to configure the layout for Events.
- Default Avatar
Upload a custom default avatar - Default Cover

Determine the default tab that should be visible when the item is being accessed. - Default Editor For Event Descriptions
Determine the default editor that you would like to use for the Event Descriptions. - Show End Date
Determines whether the end date of the event should be displayed. - Display Timezone
Determines if the timezone of the event should be displayed. - Display Time
Determines if the time of the event should be displayed. - Display Time Format
Specify the time format for events. - Display Hit Counter
This option will enable the hit counter from displaying under the event pages. - Show Address
Determine whether the address should be displayed. - Display Remaining Seats
Specify if the number of seats left should be displayed. - Display Category Headers
If enabled, the category headers will appear on the event listing pages. - Display Description in Listings
Specify if the description in listings should be displayed. - Display Description
Specify if the description in the details box should be displayed.
