Common Installation Issues
Let's face it, this documentation may or may not work for everyone due to the vast variety of hosting setup and configuration. Nevertheless, we have compiled a list of known common issues that user's encounter to assist you with the installation.
Unable to create directory
Should you face the following errors while uploading the installer through Extension Manager:
JFolder::create: Could not create directory
Unable to create destination
Here are the known solutions to this issue:
- Check if the file/folder permission are all Writable. You can view the file permission under System > System Information. Please ensure that all of the folders listed are made writable.
- Ensure the Temporary Path is pointing to the correct folder. You can find this settings under Global Configuration of your Joomla site.
- There are instances where your disc usage is close to 90%. Because some hosting providers do prevent users from writing additional data on the disk.
