User Actions Log

With the introduction of User Actions Log from Joomla 3.9 onwards, EasyBlog 5.3 takes the full advantage of this functionality by logging user actions to provide an audit trail for the site admin.

Setting Up

To enable logging, you will need to follow the steps below:

  1. Enable User Actions Log plugin in Joomla. To do so, head over to your plugins manager and ensure that the plugin is published:

  2. Once it is published, configure the action log and ensure that EasyBlog is enabled:

  3. That is just about it. Once actions are performed in EasyBlog, you will see the logs under the User > User Actions Log section:

Supported Logging Types

Not every actions are logged in EasyBlog. These are the currently supported actions that are logged:

Blog posts

  • User created a new post

  • User updated an existing post

  • User trashed a post

  • User deleted a post

  • User restored a post from trash

  • User featured a post

  • User unfeatured a post

  • User archived a post

  • User unarchived a post

  • User locked a post

  • User unlocked a post

Blog categories

  • User created a new category

  • User updated an existing category

  • User deleted a category

  • User unpublished a category

  • User published a category

Tags

  • User created a new tag

  • User updated a tag

  • User deleted a tag

Blog settings

  • User updated settings under a particular section

  • User changed the default theme

  • User updated custom css

Team Blogs

  • User created a new team

  • User updated a team

  • User deleted a team

ACL

  • User updated ACL for a particular user group

System

  • User updated EasyBlog

Mail Activities

  • User purged email activities

  • User deleted sent email activities

  • User updated e-mail template

Languages

  • User installed / updated a new language

  • User created a new custom field group
