In order to link most of your posts, Facebook requires you to create an application with them. This documentation provides instructions on how to set up a Facebook application for that purpose. We will help you through configuring your first Facebook Application.
New apps created from March 2018 onwards requires the site to use only HTTPS urls.
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1 - Login to Facebook
Before creating an app, first you will need to login to your Facebook account.
You may skip this step if you are already logged in to your Facebook account.
You will need to access Facebook developer and register as a developer to get started. Once you are registered as a developer, click here to access your Facebook developer apps.
Step 2 - Create App
Once logged in, click on Create App button located on your apps page and select your app type. Fill out the App Display Name, App Contact Email and any other required fields for your app. Then, click the Create App ID button to continue.
Note: After clicking this button, you may be presented with a security check.
Step 3 - Setting Up the Application
After creating the app, you should be taken to the 'Add a Product' page for your new app. There are a number steps which you will need to complete.
Step 4 - Furnishing the Application Details
Navigate to Settings > Basic tab on the left. On this tab, you can get the App ID and App Secret. You need to copy and paste both of these into the Facebook Autoposting section in your EasyBlog.
In particular, it is important that you fill in the Privacy Policy URL and Category fields as they are required when your app is on live mode. You can also fill the other fields to make the app look more professional.
Some of these fields will be required when you submit your app to Facebook for review or when changing the app status.
Click the Save Changes button to store the information.
Step 5 - Advanced settings (Optional)
Optional: You may skip this steps if you wish. Please refer to Facebook Developer Documentation for more information.
App Restrictions - You can restrict your app to a specific age range and countries if your site references alcohol or is an adult themed site.
Security - These are optional for making the app more secure.
Step 6 - Products Tab
On the Products tab, click on + then click on Set Up button on Facebook Login.
After you have clicked the Set Up button, navigate to Settings under Facebook Login tab on the sidebar.
Client OAuth Settings - You need to copy your site's Valid OAuth Redirect URIs from EasyBlog's Auto Posting > Facebook > Application Settings > Oauth Redirect URIs, then paste it in the Valid OAuth redirect URIs field and leave everything else untouched.
Deauthorize - You will need to enter your site's url in Deauthorize Callback URL field. Please make sure Deauthorize Callback URL is in SSL and starts with https://.
Click on Save Changes button to store your changes.
Step 7 - Autoposting Integration
If you have not done so, you should now add the App ID and App Secret into EasyBlog Facebook Auto Posting settings. In your site, navigate to Components > EasyBlog > Auto Posting > Facebook. Click on Save button to store the key.
Step 8 - Scope Permissions
Select the following scope permissions depending on where you want to autopost.
Pages - (API 7.0 and above) pages_manage_posts, pages_read_engagement. Only select publish_pages and manage_pages if these permissions were previously approved by Facebook on your app.
Groups - publish_to_groups.
Step 9 - App Review
Before you proceed to step 10 to sign in with Facebook, do note that Facebook no longer allows live apps to Sign in with Facebook unless certain app permissions are approved. You would have to make sure that the app is still in development mode in order to test the sign in process.
The following permissions have to be approved by Facebook before you are able to autopost to groups and pages(manage_pages, publish_pages, publish_to_groups, Groups API).

Step 10 - Autoposting Authentication
After you have added the App ID and App Secret as in Step 7, it's time to authenticate it. Click on Sign in with Facebook button. A dialog popup will appear for this process. Follow the instructions and select the related pages/groups you want to link to the app.
Step 11 - Facebook Integration
Finally, you may select the pages or groups that you want to autopost to.
If you only want to autopost to pages, only select scope permissions relating to pages.
Oh don't forget to Enable Facebook Integrations and other related autopost settings on your site. That's about it.
