With Social Discounts in PayPlans, users have the ability to apply a discount by following a user that you specified on Twitter.
Setting up Twitter's Social Discount
Navigate to and enable the setting at PayPlans > Settings > Discounts > General > Enable Discounts. This is to enable discounts on PayPlans and is required for social discounts to work.
Then, do the same for PayPlans > Settings > Discounts > General > Enable Twitter Follow Discount. This will reveal another two settings below it, Twitter username to follow and Discount Code to apply.
Twitter username to follow - Here, you have to enter the username of the Twitter account which you want users to follow. The username can be retrieved from Twitter, minus the @. Example in the screenshot below from Twitter.
Discount Code to apply - In this setting, you have the option to select which discount instance on PayPlans(if you created any) to apply when users follow the specified Twitter account.social_discounts_1
Once you fill up the settings above and save. You should see a Twitter button in the checkout page on the frontend.
Clicking on this button and following the respective Twitter account will cause the system to refresh the checkout page and apply the selected discount.
