eWAY is a flexible, secure way to power an eCommerce site. eWay provides fast and simple setup of payment gateway for your online business. It support payments through credit cards.

Payment Features

Currently eWay payment method supports the following payment features:

• One-time Payments

• Recurring Payments

• Recurring + Trial Payments

• Recurring subscriptions cancellation supported from the site itself.

• Minimum Recurring interval is 1, it means the interval between recurring payment should be greater then 1.

• Refund supported from site itself.

Setting Up Eway

1. eWAY requires user to create an account with them.

2. eWAY Configuration

   The General options for eWAY are fairly the same among all payment methods. You'll need to give a suitable title, determine whether to be published or unpublished and the appropriate description for this payment method. You may set this payment method to be applied on all plans or only on selected plans. The Parameters section are the specific options needed when configuring eWAY integration. Details of each options are described below.

   • Customer ID : Enter Customer Id provided by eWAY.

   • eWay USername : Enter your eWAY Account Username.

   • eWay Password : Enter your eWAY Account Password.

   • Allow Recurring Billing Cancellation : This option allows users to cancel their recurring billing on the front end when they are viewing their purchases.

   • Enable Sandbox Mode : Sandbox is a testing environment simulates a behavior of a payment method. This option is used in development phase. Always set to No when in the production.

   

Common Issues

If you encounter this Login failed error message when you check the audit log from the backend under the select log level Error filter, and you are 100% sure you have entered the correct Eway login credentials from the Eway app configuration on the site, you can try to use this method and see if this can help:

1. Login to your account on the Eway website.

2. Go to My Account > API Key

3. Your Rapid API Key will be displayed in the API Key field

4. Click Generate Password to create a password for the key. A password can only be viewed once after it has been generated, so you have to copy the password and then place this password key into your site Payplans Eway configuration app setting the eWay Password field.
