Ping-O-Matic, or Pingomatic is actually a service that helps you to update different search engines on any of your blog post's updates. It regularly checks downstream services to make sure that they're legit and still work. In other words we can say Pingomatic is all about getting your latest content out into the world and driving mode traffic to your blog.
You can set an automatic Ping-O-Matic by logging in to your backend and navigate to Integration > Pingomatic. From there, click on the 'Yes' button and click Save to enable Ping-O-Matic
