Integrating with Flickr

A picture paints a thousand words, don't they? Yes, EasyBlog can now integrate with Flickr! Just follow the few simple steps provided below and you're done. Obviously, you will need to have a Flickr account in order to make this happen.

Step 1 - Setting Up Flickr

Login to your Joomla backend and navigate to Components > EasyBlog > Settings > Medias > Flickr. Under the Flickr integration section, turn on the Enable Flickr Integration.

Step 2 - Building Flickr App

Login to your Flickr, then click on Request an API key to start creating a new app for EasyBlog.

If you're not using EasyBlog for commercial, select Apply For A Non-Commercial Key otherwise select Apply For A Commercial Key. Later then, you'll be asked to fill the necessary information in the application form such as What's the name of your app and What are you building as these information are required by Flickr to be filled.

Step 3 - Flickr API Keys.

After finish building the Flickr App for EasyBlog, you will be received the Public Key and Secret Key of the App. These keys need to be copied into EasyBlog Flickr Integration section.

Your screen will be looked something like the provided screenshot.

Once you have entered in the API key and Secret Key, save the settings and you are done with the technical part!

Step 4 - Flickr Authentication

Now you can have your images in Flickr be posted in EasyBlog. Start with composing a new blogpost, then click on Add Media > Flickr. Next, you'll need to Sign-In To Flickr to your Flickr account to authenticate the integration.

Step 5 - Flickr Authorization

Once you've click Sign-In To Flickr, a prompt window will be appeared from Flickr requesting for the authentication and authorization. Click on OK, I'LL AUTHORISE IT button to continue. Below is the screenshot of the prompt message.

Now you are ready to have those beautiful Flickr pictures that you have always wanted in your EasyBlog.
