IMPORTANT

This is the outdated SI-documentation which will be adapted soon. A huge part may be obsolete!

How To Enable Comment Form On Particular Post

This documentation mentions settings to look out for to configure the display of the comment form in blog posts. At times, the comment form may not show in blog posts.

General Comment Settings

At EasyBlog's backend, navigate to Settings > Comments and check under the General and Integrations tab and make sure comments and the desired integration is enabled.

For those that want to enable comments in posts by default, check the editor's settings at Settings > Editor > General > Post Options and make sure the Default Comment Option setting is enabled.

The Allow Changing Comment Settings option determines if the comment toggle button should be displayed when composing.

View Settings, Categories And Menu Items

Next, check the entry layout settings at Settings > Views > Entry Layout > Comments > Show Comment Form. Also, don't forget to check for the same in any single post menu items on your site.

User Permission

By default, EasyBlog's ACL does not allow guest users to post comments in blog posts to avoid spammers. However, if you like to allow guest users to post comments in blog posts, you would checked and enabled the ACL settings of the Guest and Public user groups here: ACL > usergroup > Comments > Post Comments

Post Comment Permission

Previously, we'd mentioned the comment toggle button in the composer that will be displayed according to the Allow Changing Comment Settings option. This is another setting we should check in individual posts in case the comment form does not show for a particular post.
