PayPal Payment Advanced (PPA)

Payplans PayPal only supports fixed payment type.

PayPal Payments Advanced (PPA) is all-in-one solution offers an embedded checkout that keeps customers on the merchant's site and an Internet merchant account from PayPal. It accept credit cards and PayPal payments including PayPal Credit formerly known as Bill Me Later.

With PPA, merchants can enable their online stores to collect payments directly via credit card, PayPal Express Checkout, or PayPal's PayPal Credit service. It's PCI compliant to help merchants manage their credit card security requirements.

Setting Up PPA

PayPal requires user to register an account with them. Go to https://www.paypal.com/ to sign up or login with your existing account. Further reading can be found at Get started with PayPal Payments Advanced and PayPal Payment Advanced.

NOTE: You'll need to manually make the refund transaction for a fixed plan subscriber and marked the invoice refunded in PayPlans backend.

PPA Configuration

  1. Head to Payment Method sections, click on "New" and search for PayPal Payments Advance , then click Select

  2. You will be prompted with few details that required for you to fill them in. You can refer them below for more information.

  • Partner : Partner ID was provided to you by the authorized PayPal reseller.

  • Username : The ID that you specified when you received your Payflow account. Usually, it is the same as VENDOR. Or the ID of the authorized user to process the transactions if you have additional users on the account.

  • Password : The password that you defined when registering for the account.

  • Vendor : The ID that you specified when you received your Payflow account. It is the merchant login ID for the account.

  • Enable Sandbox Mode : Sandbox is a testing environment simulates a behavior of a payment method. This option is used in development phase. Always set to No when in the production.
