trying to install Cre8 Social on a fresh site with a fresh Joomla 6.0.3 install and getting this error. Enabling the Joomla 6 backward comptibility plugin allowed installation to start. I thought this was fully J6 compatible?

Thank you very much for reaching out.
In Joomla 6.0.3 without backwards compatibility plugin on, only the "reduced" file class Joomla\Filesystem\File is available.
But in fact the installer needs the whole class (Joomla\CMS\Filesystem\File) to work.
Please note that Joomla\CMS\Filesystem\File is not deprecated in Joomla 6.
We may adapt our installer to test if the whole class is available (backwards compatibility plugin on or off).
I put this on our to-do-list an this ticket "on hold".
