Hello
I discovered your website through an email I received. I've been a Stackideas customer for many years, but the quality of their support has declined considerably. So your offer interests me.
However, I don't quite understand who you are and what your business is...
Are you a software vendor?
How many of you worked on developing Stackideas extensions?
I've already paid for several years of Stackideas licenses for nothing, and I don't want to fall into the same trap again.

Thank you very much for reaching out.

We share the same experience, I also have been a SI-customer for years. But as development on their site stuck and no solutions could be delivered for Joomla 5.4+ and Joomla 6+, we had to take matters in our own hands.
Our customers have the need to run an up-to-date CMS AND want to use the components and extensions they know and have on their sites since many years.

In november 2025, we offered an adapted and working build of EasyBlog to the original vendor. We did not even get a reply from them. We then discovered that SI doesn't exist anymore, it had been sold back in 2023 (you can read that for example here https://www.marketing-interactive.com/thesmartlocal-ceo-bullish-on-media-tech-transformation-with-acquisition-of-my-based-firm-stackideas).

That's when we realized: there won't be any further development by the original maintainer. We then intensified and continued our efforts and made all components compatible with Joomla 5+6.

We are a graphic design, webpublishing and software company based in Switzerland and Sweden. We are a small, but powerful team 😊
As our customers still rely on the components, we will continue to adapt, support and update them for at least the next 10-15 years.

We will soon rebrand them and list them in the JED. There is also a small FB group you find here https://www.facebook.com/groups/jextended

Thank you for your feedback.
I understand your approach better now.
At what pace will you be developing the extensions?If this isn't your main activity, I'm afraid it will lead to stagnation.
If it's just for minor improvements here and there, I'd rather migrate to WordPress. I've lost my patience with Stackideas!
The web evolves quickly, and Stackideas extensions are very outdated.
And do you plan to develop a mobile application?

Dear Leopold

We will adapt the Foundry REST API first to run smoothly in Joomla 5.4+ and 6+ environments and then develop or implement the framework for a Social App.

You are right, a lot of things in these extensions are outdated, we do our best to adapt them one-by-one to meet todays' needs.

It is nearly impossible to communicate an exact timeframe on when what will be ready, as we want to release beautiful and tested software rather than just patching old components.
And believe me, it was a lot of patching necessary to get these components "up-and-running" on Joomla 6+ 😕
